Avalanche Problem #1
Type:
Loose Dry Snow
Trend:
Same
Problem #1 Comments:
*Specific to our tour* Steeps felt like they wanted to sluff... (we were avoiding areas where wind slabs were suspect)
Avalanche Problem #2
Type:
Wind Slab
Trend:
Same
Problem #2 Comments:
Pockets of wind slab present. Seemed small and didn't appear very sensitive. No formal tests, just pole probes, kick turn cut jumps (is that a term??) etc. We avoided areas of high concern so may still harbour lurking monsters. Moderate danger rating felt appropriate.
